Love trees? Cut one down! A controversial statement sure, but did you know that the paper industry is one of the most sustainable on the planet and for every tree cut down to make timber and paper products, at least three more are planted in its place?
The newly launched Love Paper campaign from Spicers Paper is aimed at dispelling the myths that exist around sustainability and the paper industry, and at helping designers, marketers and businesses make informed sustainable paper choices.
“For too long now, there has been so much misinformation out there about paper and the paper industry,” says Spicers Paper Marketing Manager Carolyn Lockstone.
“In doing this, we’re trying to cut through all the confusion and help our customers make more informed sustainable paper choices. And at the same time we are championing print on paper as a communication medium, something designers should hopefully also get behind.”
In addition to these rather attention grabbing adverts, the good people at Spicers have put together some very useful information on their website and there’s a handy overview brochure available too.
Visitors to Semi-Permanent would have also seen artists Cut Collective creating a live art installation at the Spicers Paper stand themed around sustainability.
