The Marlborough Snug is an innovative design providing a high quality work space, bedroom or sauna using the unique properties of pine heartwood.
85% of the Snug is low cost untreated pine heartwood made from CO2, water and solar energy.
Dry shavings, or wool provide insulation levels R3.5 to R6 to minimize the use of fossil fuel.
The Snug is designed for long life to maximise the storage of CO2.
Each Snug keeps 3.5 tonnes of CO2 out of the atmosphere for its lifetime(100 years).
The building components can eventually be unscrewed to recycle materials and give over 6,000 Kwhs of bio energy.
